Commercial Driver's License

 This coure is a combination of self-study and hands-on training offered through All State Careers.  Those interested in taking this course will meet individually with a representative from our educational provider. 

Information on obtaining a Class 'A" CDL permit, locations to get the required D.O.T. Criver Physical and Drug Screen, and the self-study material will be available at that time.

    Used Computers Available to Highest Bidders!

    The original Centers’ computers will be made available to all union members based on the highest bids! They have all been
    cleaned & refurbished. Many have updated memory and DVD burners and a few even have Vista!

    Bidding Process Week of September 15 – 19


    • Come to the new center to check out the computers and make your bids. Only one machine will be awarded to a recipient.

    Monday, September 22

    • Bids will be awarded and the winners will be notified.

    Friday, September 26

    • Deadline to pick up your computer and make payment

    Wednesday, October 1

    • All proceeds will be donated to the National Career Development Tino Fulimeni Scholarship Program at the annual conference held in Houston, TX

    At the 2008 ICD National Conference, five $1000 scholarships will be
    awarded to various children/grandchildren of Steelworkers.

    The Tino Fulimeni Scholarship Fund was established to honor the memory of Brother Fulimeni. Tino was a fanatic about ICD and he helped build a great Program, not only in Ohio where he lived, but also in the overall Union. His commitment and contribution are evident in the success of them Career Development Program. 

    The Fund is administered by ICD in Merrillville, IN.

    The following criteria must be met to be eligible for the scholarship
    drawing:
    • Applicant must be a high school graduate enrolled in college and beginning in the fall semester of 2008 or the spring semester of 2009, or a college student returning to school in the fall semester of 2008 or spring semester of 2009.
    • Applicant must have maintained, in the past, at least a cumulative 3.0 grade point average and can demonstrate this with a transcript if selected
    • Applicant must be the child/grandchild of a Steelworker who is currently eligible to participate in the Career Development Program.

    Until September 15, 2008, ICD will accept applications in our office.  Please send applications to arrive by that date or bring them to the Twin Towers:
