Q.

What will it cost to attend Career Development Courses?

A.

Nothing!  These classes are ALMOST FREE to all union members, except for state and local taxes and, in a few cases, federal taxes (these will be marked TAXABLE).  You will not be required to use any of your tuition assistance funds for any of these courses.  In some cases you will be required to pay for course materials.

Q.If I don’t need money, what do I need?

A.

COMMITMENT!!!  Class sizes are small, so  if you register, please be sure to attend and finish the course you start. 

Q.May my spouse participate?
A.Spouses may  participate in some classes if space is available.
Q.Are retirees eligible to take classes?
A.Retirees who were active employees after February 1, 1991, may take classes on a space available basis and take precedence over spouses.
Q.How do I register?
A.Registration is simple. Contact a coordinator, or fill out an enrollment form and submit from this website.
Q.Are college credits or grades involved?
A.No. These workshops are for personal improvement only. In many cases, you will receive a certificate of completion.
Q.How many courses may I take a year?
A.You may take as many courses a year as you wish except for those classified as Arts/Crafts/Music or Health/Fitness/Sports.  You are restricted to two a year from these categories that will be identified in the Class Schedule Area.
